Hi! My name is Dixie and I am a
1 year old
Pit Bull Terrier. I'm a petite, beautiful blonde girl looking for my forever home! Everyone that meets me loves my cute little wrinkles! I'm a very playful, affectionate and happy girl. A staff member took me on my first walk here at the shelter and I was so excited! She thinks that no one has spent any time working with me and showing me how I'm supposed to walk on a leash. I wasn't bad, just a little spazzy because I was so excited. My perfect home would be one that understands I may be a little shy for the first couple days. After the initial adjustment period, I will be my
normal
happy and playful self! I also get along with other dogs and maybe kids, I love to run around and play! My new family will need to help teach me basic commands so I can be the best dog ever! Adoptions are held at the O'Fallon, IL PetSmart every Saturday of the month from 11am-3:30pm and at the Glen Carbon, IL PetSmart every Sunday from 11am-3:30pm. We are also at Petco in Edwardsville Crossing on Sundays from 11:30-3:30 pm. The cats are only at Glen Carbon Petsmart. Please let us know if you are interested in a pet and we can arrange to have them meet you at one of the adoption events.
